Description
Ottone Beach – Portoferraio
Ottone is 330 meres long, and is in the large gulf of Portoferraio, exposed only to northern winds. It consists of sand, small stones and shingle, and from here you have a great view of the ancient fortress of the town that once belonged to Cosimo de’ Medici.
The area in the middle is for guests in the hotel that looks onto the beach, a beautiful villa built in the nineteenth century that today is a five star hotel. Some small cliffs on the right separate it from the smaller beach of Ottonella.
The beach is 1.2 km from Bagnaia, 130 metres past the entrance to the Villa Ottone Hotel on the left. Follow a short path and you’re there.
