“LA PICCOLA MINIERA”
(The small mine) is situated just a few meters away from the center of Porto Azzurro, on the road that leads to Rio Marina.
Historical pieces, old machines typical for Elba, well exposed in a 250 meters long itinerary are a real experience and a great opportunity to learn something about mining during the old times.
The visit last for approx. 15 minutes, seated on a genouine ‘mining train’, with stops at the most interesting points and extensive explanations in various languages.
