Description
The Camping Croce del Sud is the most southern campsite on the island of Elba. It is situated at Morcone Beach, on the west coast of the Calamita peninsula, approximately 3 km from the iron mines, a favourite haunt for mineral collectors.
The campsite is laid out among almond trees, pine trees, eucalyptus and mimosa plants and trees. Agave and prickly-pear complete the lush mediterranean flora.
The camping has brick wash-rooms and toilette facilities, main supplies of drinking water and an artesian well, hot-water showers and sinks for washing-up, electric power points for caravans and tents, wellstocked minimarket, bar and bazar with excellent prices, sandy beach surrounded by picturesque cliffs. There are also a diving school, windsurf and water-skiing school on the spot as well as tennis courts.
The campsite rents also caravans with veranda, chalet and bungalows.
The camping Croce del Sud is run directly by the owner and covers an area of just 9000 sq.m., providing the ideal spot for peaceful family holiday in a happy and friendly atmosphere with other families.
To avoid disappointment, it is advisable to book your holiday at Croce del Sud well in advance. Pets are admitted.
