Description
Beach of Bagno
This small and peaceful beach is on the right and side of island, half way between Procchio and Marciana Marina.
The Beach of Bagno is 70 metres long and 10 metres wide, and consists of grey coloured pebbles and pebbles, with a rocky ridge on the right that is perfect for diving. Even in peak season the beach is quiet, popular above all among the locals who live in the nearby houses and in Marciana Marina, and it is perfect if you want to relax in the sun or go snorkeling.
Up till the 1950s, there used to be one of the two tuna fishing traps here in Redinoce – the other was on the beach in Enfola – so this beach is of historical importance on the Island of Elba. The buildings at the back, the so called “marfaraggio”, where the fishermen both cleaned and worked the tuna fish, and also lived there, are now summer residences for tourists.
The view stretches as far as the Gulf of Procchio and the peninsula of Enfola.
There are very few spaces along the main road to park your car.
Take the main road from Procchio to Marciana Marina, and at one point you will see the sign saying how to get to the concrete path with steps at the end that takes you right to the beach.
