Marciana Marina was granted the “Bandiera Blu” (Blue Flag) award by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education); it is one of the most characteristic sea towns on the Island of Elba, spread out over a semi circular inlet with an ancient port on the western side and the Monte Capanne massif at its back.
Both the town and its 3 small beaches have every possible facility tourists may need.
From 2.00 p.m to midnight the sea front is closed off to traffic, thus becoming Elba’s biggest blue areas a long, relaxing walk, starting at Cotone and finishing at the Pisan Tower, with some of Elba’s best shops, bars and restaurants along the way.
