Description
Agriturismo Amandolo is located near Cavo, the closest tourist resort to the mainland and can be reached quickly by ferry or hydrofoil from Piombino.
The agritourism – which is located along the route of the Grande Traversata Elbana – occupies an entire valley from which you can enjoy magnificent sunsets and breathtaking views, in one of the freshest climates, framed by the greenery of the wonderful and fragrant Elba vegetation. It is therefore ideal for those who want to spend their holidays in peace, between the sea and the greenery of Elba, in the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
From the farmhouse you can access a bay and some cliffs through a 350/400 meter long path while the beaches, both free and equipped, are in the nearby village of Cavo, about 1.5 km away.
The apartments
The farmhouse is divided into 4 two-room apartments, two on the ground floor and two on the second floor.
The apartments, located in a farmhouse, have been renovated with green building techniques and according to local traditions and furnished in poor art and with simplicity, also to adapt to the splendid surrounding environment. All have a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor space, although in the evening you can dine, by reservation, in the restaurant of the farmhouse.
Parking, solarium, outdoor shower, own outdoor relaxation area equipped with table and chairs.
Arco: on the ground floor, with living room with sofa bed, double bedroom, possibility of a cot for children, small kitchenette and bathroom separately.
Palmenti: on the ground floor, the union of two studio apartments is larger, with 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, possibility of an additional bed for children.
Capraia: on the 1st floor, with double bedroom, living room with sofa bed, possibility of cot for children, separate small kitchenette, bathroom, terrace with table.
Gorgona: on the 1st floor, entrance hall with double bed, large panoramic living room with sofa bed, small kitchenette, bathroom, terrace with table.
The restaurant
The Ristoro dell’Amandolo, open since 2006, is now a point of reference for many guests, of the farm and outside, open only in the evening from 8:00 p.m. onwards and on some Sunday afternoons, especially in the low season and by reservation.
The restaurant is not the classic place to eat, but it is a good place to spend an evening, in a simple and very particular environment, in the middle of the greenery with a splendid view of the sea, a place that has been restructured and arranged trying to and preserve the magic and energy of a nature that tends to make you reconcile with yourself.
You can choose between appetizer, main course and dessert, with km0 or local products and with traditional dishes and our reinterpretations.
In addition to the aperitif and digestive offered by the management, there is a separate menu, very practical for the needs of children. Upon reservation we can serve meat, vegetarian and gluten-free menus.
The Bike Park
On a hill near the agritourism a Bike Park was born a few years ago with three “tracks” for enduro lovers, with various difficulties (blue, red, black) which are very interesting for those who love this sport. The entire north-eastern side of Elba is full of paths for bike and e-bike enthusiasts.
